Homemade Burgers

PREP TIME: 15 MINS | COOK TIME: 10 MINS | SERVINGS: 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 250 grams course ground beef
  • 250 grams course ground lamb
  • brioche buns
  • cheddar cheese
  • baby cos lettuce
  • tomato
  • sauce, of choice
  • drizzle of sunflower oil
  • salt, to taste
  • raw or caramelised onions, optional

METHOD:

  1. Combine beef and lamb mince in a large bowl and add 2 tablespoons of our Burger Blend seasoning. If you are doubling the recipe - for every 250 grams of mince you use, add an extra tablespoon of our spice!
  2. Thoroughly hand mix the meat until all combined.
  3. Cling wrap the bowl and refrigerate as you prep the other ingredients (please see tip).
  4. Prep your vegetables and lightly toast the brioche buns.
  5. If you have chosen to add caramelised onions - heat oil in a pan, add onions, salt and cook on low heat, stirring occasionally. Add a teaspoon of water into the pan, stir for a minute or two and then put aside off heat.
  6. Take the mince out of the refrigerator and start shaping them into patties.
  7. Add oil and cook patties 6-7 mins on each side (dependent upon thickness) - can be cooked on a grill, pan OR for more flavour, use a charcoal BBQ.
  8. Build your burger and serve with a side of salad and/or chips.
  9. Enjoy!

Lots of love, Umm Baharat.
